"TOMORROW'S MUSIC STARS TODAY"
Show Time 8:30pm / Doors Open 6:30pm
Swinging Standards and Stylish Ballads from a quartet of outstanding young musicians. Take the established music of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington, Jimmy Van-Heusen, Richard Rodgers, Hoagy Carmichael and Michel Legrand. Then stir up those well-known songs, with the youthful, innovative, spicy flair of four musicians (studying at the Guildhall, Royal Academy and Trinity music schools), all under 20 years of age and you have a recipe for a wonderful entertaining evening.
Tomorrow's music stars playing at The Pheasantry are Nicholas Fitch, on guitar, currently with The National Youth Jazz Orchestra, leading the ensemble, joined by vocalist Goda Bumbliauskaite from Lithuania, Harry Evans - double bass and Edward Dunlop – drums.

Earlier this year I recorded 8-9 tunes on the new National Youth Jazz Orchestra 50th Anniversary Album (out now) Including a new piece called "Red Squirrel" with special guest Zoe Rahman (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEPRKQri9yU)
Really looking forward to hearing some of the recordings and it was also a great pleasure to record Josh Daniel's great arrangement of "A Foggy Day". Josh ran my local youth jazz band (Norwich Students Jazz Orchestra) and has both played in NYJO and arranged many tunes for NYJO.
Here's a cheeky promo.
